Paula McLemore, QEP Vice President, Environmental, Health and Safety Paula McLemore, Vice President, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), joined PSC in October, 2007. She is responsible for the direction of PSC’s environmental, health and safety programs throughout the company. Paula has over 25 years of experience in government and industry. She began her career in 1979 as the Director of Air Pollution Control for the City of Granite City, IL. In 1981, she moved to the private sector. Over the next twenty years, she held several different management positions in the environmental, health and safety arena for Albemarle Corporation and its predecessor company, Ethyl Corporation. In 2002, she joined DX Service Company as Vice President of Environmental Affairs. In 2003, she became Vice President of EHS and Regulatory Affairs with responsibilities for environmental, health, safety, security, training and quality programs. Throughout her career, Paula has been active in the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufacturer’s Association (SOCMA), the Chlorine Institute (CI) and the Texas Chemical Council (TCC), where she served on the Board of Directors from 2003 to 2007. In addition, she is a member of the Water Environment Federation and the Air & Waste Management Association. Over her 30 years as a member of A&WMA, she has served as International President, Vice President, Board Member, Southwest Section Chair, Gulf Coast Chapter Chair and Specialty Conference Chair. She has held leadership positions on the Technical Council and several committees, chaired sessions and presented papers at annual and section meetings. She also facilitated a series of environmental education teacher-training programs in the US (Houston) and Mexico. Most recently she chaired the Associations’ Centennial Committee. She holds a BS degree in Resource Conservation and Ecology and a MS degree in Geology, Hydrology and Thermal and Environmental Engineering from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She is a Qualified Environmental Professional and an AWMA Fellow. |
