At PSC, Environmental Affairs experts are part of every decision we make.

PSC's Environmental Affairs group is made up of experienced personnel with a broad base of knowledge of the Environmental Regulations which govern our business. Areas of expertise include Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA), Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Clean Air Act (CAA), Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the corresponding state and local regulations which complement the Federal Regulations and apply to our operations.

Environmental Affairs staff members are not just corporate employees; they are integral staff members within the operations that they support. The group functions as a valuable internal resource that works to ensure day-to-day compliance with Environmental Regulations and Standards. Activities include but are not limited to:
 • Operating permit application, renewal, and modification
 • Regulatory updates and interpretation
 • Internal compliance audits
 • Audits of PSC's disposal vendors

We strive to enhance communication among the environmental professionals across all of PSC's operations and to provide guidance and baseline standards and policies. Information is consolidated for easy sharing and accessing across the company. For example, a shared data base of our approved disposal facilities helps to facilitate appropriate scrutiny and tracking these vendors while a separate database serves as a repository of pertinent PSC facility information.
